Update from Pastor Chris:
Dear KAC Members,
In my desire to communicate well, I am writing this to inform you of an important staffing change. In discussions with Anthony Olson, he and Kamloops Alliance Church have mutually decided to part ways. After careful consideration and much prayer both parties have decided this is the best way forward.
Anthony has crafted the following note for you:
It has been a tremendous joy and privilege to have had the opportunity to serve Kamloops Alliance Church these past nine years. I have learned much in that time, and I am so grateful for the ministry and relationships that have been built. It is with a heavy heart that I inform you today of the difficult decision to mutually part ways with KAC. We do not make this decision lightly and have done so with the sage wisdom and advice from our Leadership Team and District Office. I continue to be completely committed to, and passionate about, the cause of Christ and the ministry of the church. I also love KAC and look forward to seeing how God will continue to use you in tremendous ways in this city and region. As one chapter ends, the next one begins, so I wait with eager expectation on God as He leads both KAC and the Olsons as we pursue new ministry opportunities.
Anthony has served KAC well in his long tenure here. He deserves to be honoured for his passion and investment into our community and mission. It is important for us to acknowledge the difficulty of this farewell; however, I want to assure you that we part ways amicably and wish each other the best in the future. Anthony concludes his time at KAC as a trusted Pastor in good standing with KAC Leadership. If you know Anthony or have served with him, please reach out to offer your encouragement.
Anthony’s last day on staff at KAC will be April 17, 2021. On behalf of our entire church, we want to thank Anthony and his family again for their long-dedicated service to KAC. Please pray and support the Olson family as they move forward in this time.
Warmly,
Pastor Chris
