For more information about Chris, read this brief bio that he has prepared for us:
Chris grew up in a ministry family and accepted Christ at a young age. Spending his most formative years in the Okanagan, he ventured off to Canadian Bible College (now Ambrose University) after high school graduation for what he thought was going to be a one-year learning experience. He planned on going into business afterward. God had other plans.
Through circumstances, relationships and much grace, God led him back to pursue a ministry degree. The process was marked by learning, development, failure and the sovereignty of God.
Chris has served in full time ministry since 2007 in two different churches: Vernon Alliance and Coquitlam Alliance Church. Seven of those years were spent serving students and young adults, and the last three as Executive Pastor at Coquitlam Alliance. Chris is passionate about the Bible, theology, culture, communication, leadership and evangelism.
When not thinking about leadership and church, Chris loves to watch his sports teams: the Seattle Seahawks and Toronto Blue Jays and is a dedicated (and tortured) Vancouver Canucks fan. He also plans to be a converted Kamloops Blazers fan in the near future! He is an avid reader, a recreational golfer, runner and squash player.
Chris is married to Krista (2010) and has three beautiful children: Hannah (4), Micah (2) and Mattea (5 months).
Chris graduated from Ambrose University (Calgary, Alberta) with Bachelor of Ministry degree in 2007. He later obtained a Missional Leadership Certificate from The Resurgence Training Center (from the former Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Washington, 2012). He recently graduated with Highest Honors from Knox Theological Seminary (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) with a Master of Arts: Biblical and Theological Studies.
