Welcome to the monthly newsletter. Here you will find several Ministry highlights from our staff, as well as highlights from the Elder's board meeting. We share all these highlights to express our gratitude for what God is doing in our midst, and to share some of the amazing things God is doing here at KAC!    

Ministry Highlights

  • At the end of February we were able to celebrate together as a church family as 11 people were baptized during our weekend services! 
  • The not a fan Life Groups continued through until the final week of February when each leader was encouraged to check with their group and discern whether they felt led to continue on for the Psalms series. Of the 13 new not a fan groups 11 have decided to move forward with most of the group members remaining together. This is a move of God! 
  • The Worship Arts and Tech Arts teams were able to head to Kelowna in March to be inspired and encouraged at the Levite Summit. Twenty eight team members were able to attend, hearing from guest speaker Brian Doerksen and participating in many great workshops. 

Elder's Highlights

  • Average weekend service attendance is up 6% over last year.
  • The board approved a new procurement policy regarding expenditures above $10,000.  The intention of the policy is to ensure appropriate stewardship of church resources by requiring multiple quotes and considering both cost and quality criteria in decision making.
  • Only about $300,000 remains to be raised for our construction project to be completed debt free.
  • The board reviewed and approved the 2015/16 church Budget and Strategic Ministry Plans. These will be brought forward to membership at the Annual General Meeting in June.
