Thank you for being part of KAC/Connected, this is a monthly email that helps keep you up to date on Ministry highlights, and Elders' highlights from Kamloops Alliance Church.  

The following highlights represent the April Elders Board meeting. 

 

Ministry Highlights

  • Pastor Tim Busse - Legacy Youth Conference is always a highlight of my year.  One of my favorite moments from this year was after the first round of seminars (mostly taught by professors). I had 5 students surrounding me who had taken copious amounts of notes and were ecstatic about what they were learning!  They were so excited that they were talking over each other about all the things they were excited about applying to their lives. The smile on my face must have been a mile wide!!  To see students so exuberant about growing in their faith gives me no greater joy! 

  • Pastor Heather Reid - North West Ministry Conference! This conference is such an amazing time of learning, growth and connection with the Kidztown Team! Here is what one volunteer who attended had to say about their experience:
    "Thank you for the opportunity to attend the North West Ministry Conference.  I have learned much as a leader.  I'm thrilled that our church places priority on growing and educating ministry leaders and volunteers through conferences.  Our children’s ministry is strong and engaging for our children because of this commitment our church places on its importance"     

     

Elders' Highlights

  • Due to generous giving of our congregation, the board has decided once again this year to give an additional $24,000 from our 2014/15 giving to ministry partners in the community. 

  • 27 people from the last membership class will coming into membership.

  • Only $244,000 remains to be raised for the building project. The board is praying and believing that these remaining funds will be provided to allow for the building to be completed debt free.

  • Plans are being made for tours of the construction site once it is deemed safe enough.
