This is a one-time special gift that we gather during the Advent season, that goes towards a specific outreach need. Over the past several years, we as a church have supported some amazing causes such as Cindy Lou in Vietnam, Syrian Refugee sponsorship, Natural Disaster relief, and even a kitchen renovation at Eagle Bay Camp.
This year we will continue this special tradition by partnering with a unique outreach program in Mexico City. Due to the sensitivity of the region and local funding, we are not able to publicize the name of the program.
B school is a k-6(eventually to 12) private school developed through a partnership with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and Teach Beyond. The priority of the school is to utilize proven methods of evangelism in Latin America via education to a least reached people group, the middle class of Mexico city. The middle class is estimated to be 9 million people, and only approximately 1.45% has been reached. English education is a proven inroad for establishing relationship and creating opportunities for the Gospel to be heard. An education with native English teachers is only available for Mexico's upper class, and B School's non-profit vision enables an accessible price point for many middle-class families that would not otherwise be able to receive such an education.
Our giving will help the school remain open and active, and reach their goals of opening up to a full K-12 school. We believe that by giving to B School, we are participating in the transformation of one of the largest cities in the world, by loving and equipping children through quality bilingual education.
